Out of its concern for the environment, Renner developed this document for the purpose of correctly guiding its consumers on a better way to dispose of the metallic containers of its products without causing a direct impact on the environment, and also aiming at complying with the current Solid Residue Management regulations in the state and the region.
Advantages of Correct Disposal:
• Better use of the product;
• Compliance with current legislation regarding destination and segregation of residues;
• Improvement of environmental quality, avoiding degradation and pollution;
• Preservation of the environment for future generations;
• Recycling and reuse of discarded cans to produce new packaging, thus avoiding high energy consumption and extraction of raw materials to produce such packaging.
Ways of Disposal:
For the correct form of disposal of metallic packaging for paint, it is necessary to follow these steps:
• Make the maximum use of the paint existing in the container;
• Scrape the interior of the packaging with a spatula to remove the paint on the edge and bottom of the can, so as not to exceed the required 0,3 cm of thickness, or to leave paint deposits on the bottom of the can;
• Whenever possible, press or compress the can;
• Try to send the cans to recycling organizations or look for scrap buyers/services in your area by visiting the site www.cempre.org.br;
• Do not discard the can with your regular trash.
Disposal of other residues:
• Paint leftovers, catalyzed paint, solvent leftovers, rags with paint, or sand with leftover paint must be disposed according to current state/region legislation.
